Biography

Radoslav Rochallyi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of mathematics, philosophy, and art.

He studied philosophy, earning both an M.S. and a Ph.D. He is the author of ten books on visual mathematical poetry, contributing significantly to the dialogue between art and mathematics. Completed formal studies in typography with Professor Jaime Barrett at Pacific Northwest College of Art, USA, and in drawing and painting (XFA 117-01) with Professor Melissa Staiger at Pratt Institute, USA. Completed advanced coursework in Linear Algebra at Imperial College London, strengthening the mathematical foundations of artistic practice.

He has participated in over 30 exhibitions worldwide.

In 2024, Rochallyi was a finalist at the Nanjing Poster Biennale, longlisted at the BEEP Painting Biennale at Elysium Gallery, Swansea, UK, and selected for an art residency in Batovce, where he further developed his unique approach to translating poetic equations into visual forms.

Radoslav Rochallyi’s works have been included in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Peace Museum Vienna, or the Szépmųvészeti Múzeum, Budapest. His art and philosophy are widely recognized for their intellectual depth and innovative integration of mathematics into visual storytelling.

As a voice for synergy between disciplines, Rochallyi continues to inspire a redefinition of boundaries in contemporary art.
